Eleo Sponsors Groundbreaking Care Workers Advisory Board Launch at House of Lords

Eleo, a leading social enterprise in healthcare recruitment, is proud to announce its sponsorship of the landmark launch event for the Care Workers Advisory Board and Care Worker Champions Project. The event, set to take place on 17 September 2024 at the prestigious House of Lords, marks a significant step forward in amplifying the voices of frontline care workers across the UK.

A Voice for Care Workers

The Care Workers Advisory Board, an initiative by The Care Workers’ Charity (CWC) and supported by The Rayne Foundation, aims to place care workers at the forefront of policy discussions and sector improvements. This two-year project will recruit a network of frontline care workers from across the UK to share regional insights, collaborate on key issues, and enhance their skills and visibility within the sector.

“At Eleo, we believe in the power of frontline care workers to drive positive change in the sector,” said Eliot Maher, Principal Consultant at Eleo. “By sponsoring this launch event, we’re not just supporting an initiative; we’re investing in the future of care in the UK.”

The Project’s Ambitious Scope

The project introduces two key roles:

  1. Care Worker Advisory Board Members: These individuals will commit 2-4 hours per month to discuss sector interests, contribute to an annual wellbeing survey, and advise The Care Workers’ Charity and sector leaders.
  2. Care Worker Champions: With a flexible participation of 1-2 hours per month, these individuals will discuss insights, attend media training, and represent the care worker perspective in various forums.

Both roles offer paid participation, recognising the value of care workers’ time and expertise.

A Catalyst for Change

The launch event at the House of Lords is expected to attract key figures from the social care sector, policymakers, and media representatives. It represents a unique opportunity to spotlight the crucial role of care workers and the need for their voices in shaping the future of care.

“This project aligns perfectly with Eleo’s mission to elevate careers and enhance lives in the care sector,” added Eliot. “We’re excited to see the positive impact this initiative will have on individual care workers and the sector as a whole.”

Looking Ahead

Applications for the Care Worker Advisory Board and Champions roles will open on 15th September 2024. The selection process will prioritise creating a diverse, well-rounded group that represents the breadth of experiences in the care sector.

Eleo’s sponsorship of this event underscores its commitment to not just filling positions, but to actively contributing to the improvement of the care sector. As the project unfolds, Eleo looks forward to supporting further initiatives that empower care workers and enhance the quality of care across the UK.
